Had the final wet run before loading in, teching and opening on Saturday. It was real messy and I took pictures of the aftermath. It will be nice to compare them to the post-True North photos of Mike and I. Maybe I'll put them side by side in the program.
While cleaning up, Norway commented that getting that messy was like wearing all the emotions of the show. "You really feel like you have been on a journey." I love the things she says and I love collaborating with her. I hope we'll be around each other for longer than the two years we're in school. I feel like things are in good shape artistically and I'm excited to get the damn thing done.
At the bus stop this morning I was very quietly taking a deep breath and almost crying behind my sunglasses and the man standing two feet away turned to me and said, "are you alright?" This in addition to the bus driver who stopped halfway down the block, rather than let me miss the bus, I am beginning to feel that the Hackney Hospital bus stop is a whirling energetic spot where the kindness of London sits.
